Annual festival week in Quesada

Annual festival week in Quesada - Van Dam Estates
17th July 2025 author: Remco van Drie

The large residential area of Quesada goes all out every year with a festival week. This is held at the end of July and the beginning of August. In honor of San Justo, the program offers a very extensive range of activities.
To give an idea of what visitors can expect, we highlight the program of the 2024 edition. Many elements return every year.
The highlight was undoubtedly the summer street carnival. On the Saturday at the end of the festival week, a colorful crowd dressed in costumes marches through the main street. After the exuberant parade, the party does not immediately end. Until 5:30 AM the following morning, music is provided by a mobile disco on Plaza Blanca.
Other highlights included a Latin night at the same Plaza and a magic show on the final evening.
Furthermore, you can expect the following: singing and dance shows, a mass dedicated to San Justo followed by a pilgrimage through the nearby streets, special children's games, a craft market, and enjoying a super large paella and various street parades.
A grand fireworks display at midnight is the conclusion of the week. For the exact program, you can contact the local tourist office.
Much smaller in scale is the annual Festival of Nations, which coincides with Europe Day on May 9th. For three days, there is a craft market on Plaza Blanca.
A musical performance and a series of other activities are also always part of the program.
In the mother municipality of Rojales, to which Quesada belongs, a musical performance takes place every Friday evening starting from early November as part of the Music Without Borders festival. The acts come from all corners of the world. The venue is always the Capitol theater.
