Members of the Dutch Association Torrevieja E.O. have started the new activity season after the annual summer break. Careful, because the corona virus imposes restrictions on the many activities that are offered indoors. The approximately 500 members experience entertainment, relaxation and social interaction with fellow countrymen in normal times through a variety of activities such as billiards, clover coats, singing and a travel club, which organizes multi-day bus trips to interesting Spanish cities and towns.
For understandable reasons, the pause button has been pressed for the time being for those parts of the association's extensive program. But some indoor activities such as painting and the craft cafe have started again. The outdoor supply is much less affected by the virus. Therefore, lovers of more sporting activities such as petanque in Rojales and Torrevieja, Nordic walking, bowling and clay tennis in Jacarilla can practice their hobby as ever.
The regular walk-in mornings, where direct social contact is central, are also held again. Even in times when we have to accept limitations in our actions, social associations continue to play an important role in bringing people together. In addition, the association wants to be an information point for Dutch and Belgians who want to establish themselves in the area.
