Terra Mitica Benidorm mixes learning and adrenaline

Terra Mitica Benidorm mixes learning and adrenaline - Van Dam Estates

The Terra Mitica theme park is one of many options for an enjoyable day out in and around Benidorm for all the family. This park was opened in the year 2000 with the vision that educational experiences can easily go hand in hand with activities that can boost your adrenaline levels. The idea was to recreate a series of world-famous monuments and statues from the distant past, often to scale, and to set up sensational attractions around them. Terra Mitica (Mythical Earth) chose to revive the ancient cultures around the Mediterranean region. The park is therefore divided into five historical zones: Egypt, Rome, Greece, Iberia and the Aegean Islands.

With these replicas from world history in the background, the visitors are of course mainly interested in having fun on one of the 25 rides. Some are even more terrifying and therefore more attractive to many than others. Names such as the Titanoid, Hell and the Magnus Colossus already betray that 'thrillseekers' can indulge themselves here.

But because Terra Mitica is aimed at the whole family, there are also much more relaxed attractions that are suitable for the younger guests. Those looking to unwind after a series of exhilarating rides can explore the many shows on foot between the Pyramid of Giza, the Colosseum, the Acropolis and along the harbor of Alexandria. Dance, music, humor and warring gladiators are all on the program.

For some years now, the park has also had an adventure park with a circuit full of obstacles and a section where renowned fast food chains take care of the inner person. Due to the wide variety of attractions and rides, a minimum age and / or height applies for various. Terra Mitica is normally open from June to early September and on selected days in May, October and November.
